I’m proud to have been a volunteer helping to recruit employers for our 3rd Reserve Job Fair, held yesterday evening, 5 October 2017, at Côtes-des-Neiges Armoury in Montreal. Many thanks to Canada Company for organizing an outstanding event under the banner of its Reserve Civilian Career Access Program (ReCCAP), and to 34th Canadian Brigade Group and 2nd Field Regiment, RCA, for providing the venue and support.
Thirteen employers were represented, all looking for the high-quality, team-focused leaders and soldiers serving in Canada’s Army, Air Force, and Navy Reserves: ADT, Brinks, Maxsys, Aerotek, Career Edge, Rheinmetall Canada, Accenture, Metro, Air Canada, CN, Groupe Robert, Bell Canada, and the Canadian Coast Guard. Canada Company also had a kiosk to present their new METPathfinder website, designed to match military veterans and reservists with prospective employers.
Over 80 reservists came to the event, well prepared and ready to learn as much as possible about the opportunities available. The recruiters were unanimous: This is a unique, focused event for Canadian companies looking to hire military reservists and support them in their dual careers. It’s also an excellent way to support our men and women in uniform as well Canada Company. Bravo!
